Tarja has been the singer of Nightwish from « Angel Fall First », Nightwish’s first album (released in 1997) to the fifth album « ONCE », released in 2004.

Tarja was dismissed by the band on October 22nd 2005, the day after the last concert of the « Once » tour (concert that was recorded for the DVD « End of an Era »), for interest differences between her with her husband and the other four members of Nightwish with their crew.
